Zenola M. Beardslee (January 13th, 2017)
Zenola M. Beardslee, 93 of Mexico died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday January 13, 2017 at her home. She was born in Owatonna, Minnesota daughter of the late Luella and Edward Ochs.

She was married to Richard W. Beardslee who died May of 1984. She is also predeceased by a brother Col. Edward Ochs.

Zenola and her husband came to Mexico in December of 1953 from Arcade, NY with Borden Milk Inc. She worked as a secretary at the Borden Milk Plant until 1970 and then worked for Oswego County Social Services until retiring in 1987. She was a Brownie Leader, Girl Scout Leader and Sunday school leader. She was President of the Mexico Bowling League and the Pines Golf League. She was an avid bridge player in Mexico and Fulton. She loved to knit and sew and keep her yard and flowers in good

shape. Her companion Les E. Bollin, together for 20 years, died in 2006. They spent 6 months each year in Panama City Beach. Her Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren were so much of her life. She was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church. She loved being outside on her tractor, mowing her lawn and attending to her flowers.

Surviving are her Daughter, Pamela S. (David) Knox of Hannibal; two Sons, Jeffrey C. (Donna Wilcox) Beardslee of Mexico and William (Lew Ann) Beardslee of Mexico; nine Grandchildren; many Great-Grandchildren; one Great-Great-Grandchild and her Sister, Shirley Grass of Owatonna, MN. Memorial Services will be 2 P.M. Saturday January 21, 2017 from the Mexico United Methodist Church. Spring Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. prior to the service at the Church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mexico United Methodist Church, Mexico Volunteer Fire Department or Mexico Historical Society.
