He was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School and attended Albany University. He was retired from Niagara Mohawk. He was a wrestler in school and an avid fan after. He played coed volleyball, adult softball, and basketball. He loved hunting and fishing and anything outdoors. He especially loved his hunting camp and sharing it with family and friends. He loved music, especially classic country and oldies, and was able to enjoy many concerts through the years. He also collected and enjoyed old movies and tv shows; with Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy being two of his favorites. He had an amazing knowledge of trivia. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was involved in local racing. He was a collector of many things, and especially enjoyed working
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Walter S. and Betty (Schremph) Glod and his dear goddaughter/niece Elizabeth Rose Graham. Also, his beloved cats, Bonnie and Clyde, and the many family dogs. He is survived by his siblings, Francis (Midge) Glod, Rosemary (Lyle) Kellogg, Joanne (Mark) Graham, Jim (Lisa) Glod, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, July 17, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, at the Fulton Christian Fellowship Church (formerly St. Michaels), 301 Beech St., Fulton. A Memorial Service will follow immediately. All are then invited to a gathering with refreshments at Tavern on the Lock, 24 S 1st St, Fulton, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Walter’s name made to NAMI, The Oswego County Humane Society, or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Harter Funeral Home, 9525 S. Main Street, Brewerton NY.
