Richard C. Krzyiewski (September 27th, 2017)
Richard C. Krzyiewski, 60, of Oswego, passed away on September 27, 2017 in Cheektowaga, NY.

Richard was born March, 8th 1957 to John and Winifred. He attended Corning West High School. He married Karlene on November 19, 1982 in Hornell, NY. He served in the Navy from 1977-1981. He worked as an electrician for Novelis for 29 years. After his retirement from Novelis, he took his dream job as a

Ranger at Camp Woodland Boy Scout Camp in Constantia, NY, where he worked for 5 years. Most recently he was working for JCS, Construction in Cicero, NY.

Richard dedicated his life to serving the Boy Scouts of America. He earned the honor of Eagle Scout as a teenager and continued his service long after that. He was a scout leader, a scout camp director, a National Jamboree Volunteer and had many achievements in scouting. He received the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver Award; he was a Vigil Honor Member of Lowanne Nilmat Lodge and the Order of the Arrow. He was a leader and a role model to countless scouts throughout his years of service.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, John Krzyiewski, his mother Winifred (Hooker) Earley and his step-father Philip Earley.

Richard is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karlene (Hebenstreit) Krzyiewski, his 3 children, Amanda (Adam) Weaver of Fulton, Dr. Nicole Krzyiewski (Phillip Titman) of New Haven and Daniel Krzyiewski of Scriba. A sister, Susan (Steve) Persing, of Myrtle Beach, SC, a brother Michael Earley of Webster, a brother Ronald (Nancy) Earley, of Painted Post, and his beloved cousin, Larry Prunoske of Geneva, as well as several Aunts, Uncles and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 from the Harter Funeral Home 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Donations can be made in his name to Camp Woodland and the William Hilcourt Museum, at which he spent countless hours working to develop and improve.
