Leigh Edward Pluff (July 8th, 2017)
It is with great sorrow to say goodbye to a devoted loving husband, father, and friend. Leigh Edward Pluff, age 71 went to his heavenly home surrounded by his family, pastor and friends on Saturday July 8th, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Leigh grew up in Fulton, NY where he was active in sports throughout his youth. He lived and died in the home he built on Villiard road in the town of Palermo. Heaven gained a treasure. He was a true example of God's love and shared a marriage of 53 years with his loving wife Louise. He served in the air force for 4 years and was stationed in Fairfield, Ca where he and Louise lived for several years. Leigh was stationed in Taiwan for a tour of duty and upon completing his military service commitment he returned to his hometown where he built a life with his family.

Leigh was active in his community and church and was always there to lend a helping hand to his neighbors, friends, and family. His many activities included both leading the men's ministry program and church youth group, as well as playing his drums on the worship team. Besides his many activities in the church, he also coached little league for 7 years, played on his company's softball team, and participated in many sports. His many interest and talents included: woodworking, carpentry, building & remodeling homes, and gardening. He loved nature and enjoyed hunting, kayaking, and all outdoor activities.

Leigh had a gentle spirit and he loved people. He spent 32 years working at Armstrong World Industries, he was predeceased by his parents Donald Pluff, Leah Wallace Pluff, and sister Donna Pluff. He is survived by his wife, Louise Darrow Pluff, and his three children Donna Woodruff, James Michael Pluff, and Aaron Pluff as well as his daughter-in-law Angela Pluff and son-in-law Tim Woodruff, his grandchildren Anna and Adam Pluff. Leigh is also survived by his sister Betty Cargen and her husband Hank, his brothers Donald and Gary Pluff as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins family, friends and his cat Littlebear. In leu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parish Church of the Nazarene in memory of Leigh Pluff towards the music ministry and building funds.
