John F. Wilk (May 4th, 2018)
John F. Wilk, 81, of Mexico, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, NY. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Frank and Louise Krawczyk Wilk. He was employed by Crucible Steel for over 40 years as an Electrician Helper. He was a Communicant of St. Anne Mother of Mary Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Mexico Senior Stars. John was an avid NASCAR fan and an especially great fan of Dale Earnhardt. He was well known for his blueberries and strawberries.
John is survived by, his wife, Elizabeth Wojtus Wilk; three daughters, Nancy (Michael) Perry, of Averill Park, NY, Carolyn (Wayne) Shelby, of Mount Holly, NJ and Katherine (Paul) Arduini of Central Square; two grandchildren, Julia (Michael)
Cumming and Jennifer Perry; along with his great-grandson, Connor Cumming.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from St. Anne Mother of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Mexico NY. Interment will be in the Mexico Village Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico NY.
