Herbert V. Clark (May 1st, 2017)
Herbert V. Clark, 83 of Mexico, died Monday at the St. Luke Health Facility in Oswego, NY. He was born in Mexico, the son of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Vallace Clark. Herbert owned and operated his own farm in Mexico, until retiring in 2003 and then he delivered auto parts for Advanced Auto. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, a member of the Oswego County Dairy Princess Committee, a board member of the Oswego County Fair, and a member of the Sandy Pond Sportsman Club. He was also a member of the Edick Hamlink Post #369 VFW Men’s Auxiliary and a member of St. Anne Mother of Mary Catholic Church. Herbert was pre-deceased by his wife, Janet in 1998, along with his brother Earl Clark and his step-son, Ed DeWind.
Herbert is survived by, his daughter, Brenda (George) Lyons of Mexico; four grandchildren, Erik, Erin, Elyse (Jonathon) and Michael; along with one grandchild, Rhett.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, from the Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Avenue, Mexico NY.
Burial will be in the Mexico Village Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. Contributions may be made to the Oswego County Farm Bureau in care of the Herbert and Janet Clark Scholarship Fund or to the Mexico VFW Post #369.
