Everett was born November 11, 1931 in the Town of Volney, New York to Roy and Florence (Wells) Cooper. He attended the Volney School and Fulton Fairgrave High School. After school, Everett proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954 on the USS Rockbridge, APA 228. He was a member of the American Legion and Post Commander. After his discharge from the Navy, he was employeed as a Steamfitter/Welder for Local 73.
Everett was a memeber of the Lycoming United Methodist Church. He joined the Callimachus Masonic Lodge February
Everett was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time at his camp in the Adirondacks. He loved to travel with his wife around the country and in Canada. Gardening for Everett was warming his hands in the soil when he planted his first seed, the anticipation of new growth and the pleasure of his toils. Everett had a great sense of humor which he shared with all. Everett will always be remembered for his wink of an eye, contagious smile, friendly manner and firm handshake.
Everett is survived by his wife Virginia M. Hewitt, children Cindy (Rick) Stone, Kathy (Randy) Halaburka, Patricia (Bruce) DeMars, Everett Jr. (Jennifer) Cooper, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Arnold and Helen Cooper, nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents Roy and Florence (Wells) Cooper, in-laws Frank and Helen (Hopkins) Hewitt, brother and sister-in-law Roy and Bessie (Jefferson) Cooper and nephew Arnie Cooper.
Everett's family and friends were his greatest gifts.
