Earl O. Henry (July 19th, 2017)
Earl was born in a little town in upstate New York called Mexico in 1934. He was the only son with 3 older sisters and 1 younger. Initially he was raised on a small farm and then moved into town once the farm was sold. At 21 he received his draft notice but chose to enlist for the Army Security Agency in 1956. In 1957, he married his hometown sweetheart Marcia. They proceeded to have 3 children.

His military career took him all over the world. He was stationed in Germany (2x), Japan, Vietnam, Korea, and all over the United States. High points were when he was stationed in Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the DMZ in Korea during the time that the Pueblo capture. He retired from ASA Headquarters at Arlington Hall Station, VA, after over 20 years of service as a Major in 1977. During his time in service he received several medals that included the Bronze Star.

After his retirement from the Army, he went to work for the agency that became Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). He spent 20 years there and also enjoyed the work and travel. He retired from there in 1997.

In his final years, he ensued his many hobbies, ipad classes, internet classes, travelling with his wife, family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Marcia, and his children, Karen of Woodbridge, Jon (Samira) of Aldie and Marilyn (Mark) and 2 grandsons Chase and Tyler of Berthoud, CO. He will be missed by all for his generosity and his humor....
